Miley has already said that the song is for 'someone' specific and is written from her personal experience. When asked if it might upset that certain 'someone', she said; "I want them to be upset. That was my point," she said. "I was a little worried, but I'm excited that I just did it."
The song is obviously written about an ex-boyfriend and Miley even said once that she wrote it while she was on tour.

It might just be her Hyperglycemia tag but maybe its supposed to signify something like... ahem... Nick Jonas's diabetes tag?
But to end things off, Popstar! Magazine recently asked Nick Jonas himself. And his reply to the question if he thinks '7 Things' is about him?
His answer: NOPE. One reason? "My friends aren't jerks!" he laughed.
